Ford tractors have been around for many years. They have evolved from the first experimental tractor in 1907 (which by the way wasn't even called a tractor but was referred to as an "automobile plow") to the fine machines of today. Below is a timeline of the early Ford tractors.
 
1907 - Experimental tractor (a.k.a. "automobile plow")
1917-1928 - Fordson Model F (20 H.P., 4 cylinders)
1929-1945 - Fordson Model N (27.3 H.P., 4 cylinders)
1937 - Fordson All-Around (a.k.a. Fordson Row Crop)
1939-1943 - Ford 9N (28 H.P., 4 cylinders)
1942-1947 - Ford 2N (similiar to the 9N with steel wheels)
1945-1951 - E27N Fordson Major (28.5 H.P., 4 cylinders)
1947-1952 - Ford 8N (30 H.P., 4 cylinder)
1953-1954 - Ford NAA (a.k.a. Golden Jubilee - 31 H.P., 4 cylinder)
1952-1958 - Fordson New Major
1954-1957 - Ford 600 Series
1954-1957 - Ford 800 Series
1954-1957 - Ford 700 / 900 Series (3 wheel tricycle design)
1957-1962 - Ford 601 / 701/  801 / 901 Series
1957-1961 - Fordson Dexta (3 cylinder Perkins diesel engine)
1958-1961 - Fordson Power Major
1961-1964 - Fordson Super Major (a.k.a. Ford 5000)
1962 - Ford 2000 / 4000 /6000 Series
1962-1964 - Fordson Super Dexta (a.k.a. Ford 2000 Diesel)
 
In 1963 the first new blue Ford tractors came out which replaced the red and grey colors.
